Early Years
We offer young children a gentle journey towards formal education from six-and-a-half years old, always keeping what is best for the child in focus.
Our Parent and Toddler Group, Stepping Stones, welcomes families to bring their very young children into a settled, happy environment where they can experience playing alongside other children and still have the security of their parents around them. By taking part in the gentle rhythm of the morning and by learning songs and stories and how to make simple toys for their children, parents and parents-to-be can learn more about the ways of Steiner Education.
The Nursery offers an intimate, homely atmosphere within a small group where the child aged from three may be eased into the transition from home to school. There is an unhurried calmness that reigns here, and the three year olds feel secure and free to play.
Children move to Kindergarten from four years old, when they are ready for the challenge of a larger group of mixed age children.
