Festivals
Throughout the year all the children gather with their families to celebrate a number of special festivals, for example the Martinmas lantern walk; the Advent spiral of candles, Easter egg rolling and Midsummer games. These become wonderful focal points of the pattern of the turning year. The joy of anticipation and the beauty of the celebrations give the children a rich store of memories. These are times which bind the whole school community together.

The wish for a selective, elitist education has no place in Steiner Waldorf School. Parents who want such an education are in the wrong place. The right of all children to the highest quality education is not only a social ideal but a social necessity. Rudolf Steiner, Social Basis for Education.
